Career Directors International (CDI) is a global professional association committed to providing outstanding opportunities and innovations in education, connection, empowerment, and fun to bring out the Career Superhero in everyone.

Its global membership spans all career disciplines and includes resume writers, career coaches and counselors, job developers, recruiters, outplacement specialists, HR practitioners and other specialists from private practice, civil service, academia and military.

A seasoned resume writer and career developer is an excellent candidate for the Certified Expert Resume Writer (CERW) distinction. CDI's new CERW is a 3-step, test-free, portfolio evaluation process established to provide senior professional resume writers with the challenge to demonstrate excellence in working at an expert level of resume writing. The CERW is CDI's top tier and second level of resume certification.

Credential registration fee is $250. Applicant must possess a recognized resume certification (e.g., CARW, MRW, NCRW, CPRW, CMRS).

The following materials must be submitted for consideration:

• Seven (7) professional resumes, one (1) ASCII resume conversion and two (2) cover letter samples along with a brief description for each one of (a) the project situation / challenge, (b) explanation of choices for document style and information inclusion and (c) job seeker results (if known).
• Detailed biography or resume that accurately and completely describes one's experience, industry contributions and accomplishments.
• Essay of no less than 1000 words on your philosophy and approach to resume writing, and why you feel you are a qualified candidate to be awarded the CERW credential.
