• Association of Online Resume and Career Professionals (AORCP)

The Association of Online Resume and Career Professionals (AORCP) was formed specifically targeting Internet-based career coaches and resume writers who perform their business utilizing online technologies. The organization provides members an opportunity to network on both a professional and personal level, and foster professional development and business growth.

Membership is open to all career coaches and resume writers who; are currently marketing their business through website technology, and/or providing their services to both local or long distance clients, or intend to develop an online career coaching or resume consultancy to provide their services to both local or long distance clients.

It offers certification for Certified Master Resume Specialist (CMRS).

Membership fee is $50. Renewal is made every two years and costs $25.

Requirements for submission to the Certification & Continuing Education Development Committee:

• Two articles (no less than 1000 words each) on Resume Development (specific subjects to be approved by the Certification & Continuing Education Development Committee).
• Preparation of two resumes, and written justification for all format issues. Resumes will include:
  • One Executive Resume
  • One Professional Resume (potential fields: Sales, Marketing, IT, Management, Manufacturing, or Administrative)
• Preparation of one Cover Letter, with written justification for all format issues. The Certification & Continuing Education Development Committee will provide a basic outline for the candidate to use.
• Submission of resume services portfolio including:
  • Five sample resumes (types to be designated by Certification & Continuing Education Development Committee).
  • One Plain Text-email resume.
  • One Plain Text - eforms resume.
  • One RTF Resume.
  • One resume conversion to PDF format.
• Verification of at least 20 hours of community service, and attendance of one professional conference/or 20 Continuing Education Units, within one year prior to certification.
• Completion of 15 core competency essay questions, 15 true/false questions, and 15 multiple choice questions.
