AUSIT is the professional association for Translators and Interpreters in Australia. Over 750 experienced practitioners in more than 30 languages. Whether you are a practising translator or interpreter, a student who hopes to become one, or a person with an interest or stake in language and T&I, membership in AUSIT is your direct access to people working in the industry. With or without accreditation, you can join and participate in training, social events, the AUSIT professional development program and more.

Any translators who wishes to Join AUTIST may fill in application form available at website. Members enjoy certain benefits and membership levels and fees are as follows:

- Senior Practitioner: Members with full engagement in the T/I industry for over 5 years at professional level can advance to this level. Annual fee: A$ 220 + $20 joining fee.

- Member: Must have obtained NAATI accreditation or Recognition or have successfully completed an appropriate T & I TAFE or University course in Australia, or have equivalent qualifications and experience. Annual fee: A$ 176 + $20 joining fee

- Non-Membership Category: Associate Any individual, institution or association that has an interest in the profession of interpreting and translation and is not eligible for membership of any other category may be eligible to join as an Associate. Any practitioner who does not wish to seek membership of any other category may also choose to join this category, but will not be entitled to certain Member benefits (e.g. published directory listing, voting rights, standing for office, permission to display AUSIT membership on stationery and marketing materials, etc). Annual fee: A$ 99 + $20 joining fee
